Community Rules and Acceptable Use
Rules for PaperTrader profiles, chat, messages, and simulated results.
Last updated September 5, 2026
Scope and responsibility
These rules apply to your nickname, profile, chats, direct messages, reports, simulated results, and every other contribution or interaction you make through PaperTrader. They form part of the Terms of Service. You are responsible for activity through your account and for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed for anything you publish.
Use a respectful public identity
Use a nickname and content you have the right to publish. Do not impersonate another person or organisation, expose private information, or make a simulated result look like verified real-money performance. Do not sell or transfer your account, share access with another person, or create accounts through unauthorized automation.
Content that is not allowed
- Illegal content or activity, credible threats, or instructions facilitating serious harm.
- Harassment, hateful conduct, stalking, sexual exploitation, or targeted intimidation.
- Defamatory, knowingly false, materially misleading, sexually explicit, or unlawfully discriminatory content.
- Fraud, phishing, malware, credential theft, market manipulation, pump-and-dump coordination, or deceptive promotion.
- Spam, unauthorized advertising, repetitive solicitation, or referral manipulation.
- Copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights violations.
- Attempts to manipulate PaperTrader rankings, simulations, reports, or security controls.
- Unauthorized scraping, bulk collection of user information, automated messaging, attempts to bypass access controls, or activity that places an unreasonable load on PaperTrader.
Rights and privacy of other people
Only publish material you created or are authorized to share. If your content identifies another person, you must have a lawful reason and any permission needed to share their name, image, statements, or other personal information. Do not collect contact details, credentials, or other personal data from PaperTrader users without authority.
Trading discussion
Users may discuss markets, but must not present content as PaperTrader-endorsed advice or guaranteed profit. Disclose material promotional interests when relevant. PaperTrader does not verify user claims.
Moderation
PaperTrader does not pre-screen every message or guarantee that it will identify every violation. When content or conduct comes to its attention, PaperTrader may leave content up, reduce visibility, remove it, warn a user, temporarily restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate access. PaperTrader may preserve information or contact a competent authority when reasonably necessary to address a credible danger or comply with law.
Decisions should be timely, diligent, objective, non-arbitrary, and proportionate. Where appropriate and lawful, affected users receive the facts, rule or legal ground, whether automation was used, and available reconsideration options.
Reports and reconsideration
Use the content-reporting form for a specific item. Ordinary reports target review within seven days; credible urgent threats target review within 24 hours, but these are operational goals rather than guaranteed response times. Questions or reconsideration requests may be sent to reports@papertrader.app. Identify the relevant content or account and explain why it may violate these rules. Do not knowingly submit false, duplicate, or retaliatory reports.
Messages and privacy
Current chat is text-only. Do not put sensitive personal data, seed phrases, private keys, or authentication information in messages. PaperTrader reviews private communications only where a participant reports them, a defined security incident requires it, or law requires it. Account deletion removes authored live-chat content from PaperTrader’s ordinary live systems.
